In the 18th century, natural settings started being appreciated for the multiplicity of views they offered when the viewers turned their gaze towards several viewpoints, and moved from one standpoint to another The website shows a map of Stowe gardens with hotspots for the various buildings, and indications about the various views from the several standpoints: hypermedia underlines the aesthetics of the ‘variety’ of viewpoints
