Navigational Metaphors and Information Spaces |

- These tutorials offer web-based support for the study of our
syllabus on the notion of "information space" and its navigational
metaphors.
The sections Landscape, Art, Literature,
Hypermedia , are meant to show the interactions of the
various media in visual culture.
Each tutorial contains three sections,
- Resources (marked by the
icon of the surveying instrument), listing the major reference
sources
- Links and comparisons (marked
by the icon of the bridge), making connections with websites
on related topics
- Interpretation (marked
by the icon of the palette), raising theoretical issues
- The exploration of these resources is meant to emphasise the
topic of the seminar, the interaction between information methods
and metaphorical space: hypertextual search is both a means of
information-gathering and a paradigm of knowledge.
- As we progress through the course, I will add a synthesis of
your comments to the tutorials; send them to :
