Conclusion

• The icons & the index contribute to the creation of an interface.
• A good interface favour the ergonomics of a site.

During this presentation, we have gone through the functions of icon & index in computer sciences. I would like to add that icon & index are two important tools in the presentation of a website. Thanks to their presence, we can do some tasks with a computer without having to execute a command line.

When browsing websites, we are not lost in navigation, we always know where we are. We have all the flexibilities to navigate, that is to come back to the previous page, or to continue, or to quit the webpage. And this is part of what is called ergonomy. Icon and Index take part in ergonomic functions so that it is easier for people to use computers, to browse the web...
