6. OBJECTIVES

Understand the importance of leadership and change management for the management of Enterprise Systems in the new hypercompetitive environment. This course is designed for non-technical students that want not only to make an assessment of the business value of ES, but to understand the implementation issues in order to obtain this business value.

The first part starts with the description of the new competitive conditions for obtaining performance, often referred as “hypercompetition”. It will also describe an approach of change leadership that fits this hypercompetitive environment

The second part of the course will focus on the description of ES and the methods used to transform corprations:  Leadership and change management

7- EXPECTATIONS REGARDING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION

a) Regular attendance and participation is required.  Absences will have an adverse effect on your participation score for the course.  If you have to be absent from class for any reason, please notify the administration in advance if possible. Classes will begin on time. 

b) Showing up for class, important as it may be, is not to be equated with participation. Students should make an effort to contribute to each and every class discussion.
